Tears are okay

I’m known as the cry baby in my family. That’s okay because sometimes crying is the only thing that will make you feel better. You can cover your emotions and make it seem like they aren’t there but sometimes it becomes too much and you have to let it out somehow. Crying is a form of release it doesn’t have to be a form of weakness. You are not weaker if you cry out of anger, happiness, sadness or frustration. What makes you stronger is being able to let those tears out and wiping them away on your journey to perseverance. It’s hard to cry by yourself without letting others know. You sit in a room hiding so no one sees. It makes you feel less exposed, less angry at yourself for being weak but it’s okay. It’s okay to let others see your tears and even then, you don’t even have to share because those tears, those tears are yours. However, if there is an opportunity for you to share with someone you know cares and loves you, do it! Your tears are proof that you feel! That you can and will and possibly even have overcome. Don’t let it get to you, because at the end of the day your worst enemy are the thoughts in your head.
